South Korean-based Corporation giant Samsung has invented another high-end laptop experience for all the techies out there. The Samsung Ativ Book 9 is a new model that gives a sleek and sophisticated performance that is needed in today’s technology-dependent industry. This model is especially designed for professional use that requires a quick-response up-to-date business affair with its wide range of graphic options and flexibility – a niche higher that the Ultrabook maker.

 

Design

There are two variations in the exterior color of the Samsung Ativ Book 9: marble white and mineral ash black. The exterior’s texture has minimal metallic etches that enables a cool and smooth touch to the user. Over-all, the external features of the Samsung Ativ Book 9 gives a sleek and slender look that makes the user enthusiastic when it comes to the transportation convenience of this edgy laptop.

 

The laptop is 13.6mm and weighs approximately 1.39 kg. It has two USB portals for a 2.0 and a 3.0. At the side of the model is also a microphone and headphone combo jack and a multi-card reader that has slight variations. Opening the laptop, the panel can flip up to 180 degrees. 

 

The laptop screen has 1920 x 1080 FHD and LED display. Meanwhile, the keyboard deck has a full-sized width with matching backlight that has five levels of brightness, with 13.3’’ SuperBright and a 350 nit screen. The easy setting panel has a power management, network, display sound and touchpad. Looking at the keyboard deck, the LED can be seen just above the ESC key.

Pros

Samsung Ativ Book 9 enables sleek professional performance. With the quad-core processor, the system performance rates at fast speed and accurate performance. There is an additional plus with the keyboard dock experience that allows the user’s fingers to smoothly glide on the dock without too much worry in accidentally pressing uncalled-for keys. The brightness display is also well-defined, that it can stand even in the dark.

 

The model also allows full-system control that a user would require especially for system responsiveness. The slight variations on the media card readers also come in handy, as well as the two USB portals. In other words, the Samsung Ativ Book 9 is much preferred for business and professional affairs that require sophistication and superior performance.

 

Cons

 

Unfortunately, the Samsung Ativ Book 9 has more cons than pros. Although the system performance has a five-star rating with good feedbacks, there are some lacking in the over-all design of this model that impairs it with the expensive price on its head. For instance, the battery life is too short, being that the endurance is only 9 – 11 hours.

 

It also has weaknesses in the touch screen – the resolution is poor in the aspect that the screen width is at full length. Viewing experience will not be too promising. Another weakness points not only at the battery, but also the design of the model; for instance, there is no way for a user to know if the battery is charging when the lid is closed.

 

Conclusion

 

Not to worry, the Samsung Ativ Book 9 has its millennium pros that can be unmatched by any laptop model. The fast-paced system processor is a rare find for a laptop of this model. This is the one of the most recommended laptop model for quick professional needs without the hassles of worrying about system performance.

 

The model only has a few down-sides such as the battery life that can be unsatisfying in context with its expensive bidding price. The screen resolution is wide and reaches full length, but the actual output is poor and can be a bit disappointing for a viewing experience.
