It took a longer time for the latest Lumia series to come out in the market; however, it gives us the best Lumia series ever.

 

Design

The design is similar to Lumia 920. The surface is made with polycarbonate with curved sides and a black screen. The touch screen is scratch free due to AMOLED capacitive screen with Gorilla glass coating. The RAM storage has increase from 1GB to 2 GB which is higher than the 920 series. Basically, the phone offers a few additional features to the Lumia 920 series to better improve the unit.

Pros

It has full HD resolution for both the camera and the video. It has digital zoo and video light making your pictures very clear and crisp. The screen is scratch-free as it is made of AMOLED with 16 different colors. Nokia Lumia 1020 is heavier compared to its other versions making it very noticeable when keeping it on your pockets.

 

Cons

Like the other Nokia Smartphone, processing is a little slow. The 2000 mAh battery is not fitting for this unit as it easily runs out of battery life. The battery can’t be removed so you have to keep on charging it, it is not suitable to use when you are travelling as you will always look for charging station for your phone. The memory is not expandable and 2GB is not enough for a Windows 8 operating system.

 

Warranty

For you to claim the warranty service you need to present the unit, the proof of purchase where the name and the address of the retailer can be seen, the date and where it was purchased and the serial number and the product type are visible.

12 months warranty period for the unit and the accessories, 6 months warranty for the batteries, headsets and other consumable accessories and 90 days for the software.

The Limited Warranty does not cover the usual wear and tear of the product, user manuals or any third party accessories, if the product was exposed to any changes of the weather and if the product was damaged due to short-circuit.

 

Conclusion

If you want to have the latest Lumia series, you should go for this phone. Although it has a few downside to it, it is still the best Lumia series Nokia has created.
