Pros
Motorola Charm focuses on functionality rather than on aesthetic design. The main attraction is the keyboard. It has a great, roomy and comfortable QWERTY keyboard which makes texting and emailing more convenient. The screen, although not the best, offers a wide display. This makes viewing easier on the eyes. The unit runs on Android 2.1 which supports many apps. Backtrack Navigation pad is a unique feature and the camera has panoramic abilities.
Cons
Because of its lower price compared with other smartphones, you expect low functions in some features. Usually manufacturers who produce budget phones sacrifice on the battery life, resolution and camera. The unit proves this theory right. The battery is draining fast and it tends to overheat withprolonged use.The camera has no autofocus and no LED light to shoot at the dark. The resolution is also poor resulting to below average photo quality. The processor is slow and many of the Android market apps are unavailable. Overall, this is not recommended for people who travel a lot and for those who love crystal clear screen. If you get this, you will surely be disappointed.
Conclusion
Motorola Charm has so much potential as a smartphone. Because there are only a few Android phones with physically QWERTY keyboard, it is so much attractive for people looking for this feature. It is also recommended for heavy texters and clients who want a unique phone. With its comfortable QWERTY keyboard and affordable design, one can say that this is one of the best phones.
The “best” here does not mean having the fastest and high-end gadget but it means having the basic features that a client needs. Is it really charming? Well, this is for you to find out. But based on assessment, Motorola Charm has more plus sides than the minus side.
