LG Optimus L3 E400 is another budget phone from the company. It has the performance of high-end smartphones but at a reasonable rate. The unit boasts its solid set of features and functionality along with a classy looking body. It has a well performing processor and it runs on Gingerbread. It is a nice entry level gadget for individuals who want to have an Android but tight on the budget. L3 is one third of the Optimus L series and lines up as the smaller and lower end sibling of L5 and L7.

 

Design

LG Optimus L3 E400 is probably the cheapest phone in the company’s current line-up of Optimus. It is an Android handset that showcases a nice and solid design. The smoky chrome and the glossy back give it a more expensive look than other cheap phones in the market. There is a plastic battery cover, a microSD card slot on the left side, headphone jack on top and a microUSB socket at the bottom part.

The low asking price of LG Optimus L3 E400 is its greatest attractive feature. It is very enticing for individuals who want an Android smartphone on a bargain. Although it is a low-cost handset, the design does not show its cheap price. It is sleek and solid with a decent virtual keyboard. It also has a long battery life. It uses 1540 mAh for its power which is a large capacity for a small phone. It is able to last for up to 2 days compared with its similarly priced rivals. The call quality is also good with loud earpiece and nice quality speech.

 

Cons

The smartphone is definitely not the high end in the market. The poor screen and the low resolution camera are deal breakers for those who want vivid images. The icons and texts are indistinct and blurred especially around the edges. It requires a lot of scrolling and zooming when viewing webpages. The camera lacks a flash and it suffers a lot of shutter lags. It also uses the old version of Android and thus, the games that you can enjoy with your phone are not updated.

LG Optimus L3 E400 is a fairly quick budget phone. It is good enough as an entry level Android phone. It is able to produce decent frame in 3D games. However, the poor resolution of the screen is a killer issue. It gives a frustrating feeling during internet browsing and texting. The same issue goes with the camera.
