HTC First
The first ever phone designed to have Facebook as its Home key. This gives an ultimate advantage to Facebook compared to other applications that are available in the Play store. It provides a closer personal experience to Facebook. Accessing the social media would be a very easy and simple process as you just simply turn on your phone and Viola! Your notifications would immediately appear with the profile picture at the rear part of the screen.
If you want to check the other applications, you just have to swipe and it will give you the list of the other applications you have installed. Chatting with your friends using the messenger is also very handy; a picture of the sender would appear at the corner of the screen to notify you.
Design
The phone is 5” similar with iPhone 5, very good for those users who love bigger phones. Its edges are rounded and are rubberized to avoid slipping from your hands. The surface does not scratch easily unlike iPhone 5 and its sister phone HTC One which are aluminum made. It is lightweight that you can even forget that you are carrying a 5 inch phone. The same with the other HTC phones, HTC First is very affordable.

Pros
Aside from having a preinstalled Facebook Home, HTC First is a fast performer phone using a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor. The 4.3 inch Full HD resolution assures you of great images that are clear. Video recording would also be an amazing experience due to its Full HD feature. You are guaranteed of videos that are understandable and clear. It also supports 4G LTE and NFC connectivity that gives you quick access to the internet.
Cons
As this is created for Facebook, without that feature it is just an ordinary phone. When posting or even adding comments, it would give you a lot of Facebook error messages. Also, there are times when you can’t like comments of other but you can like a friend’s status or picture. The engineers should better check on this feature. Using the camera would be annoying as there is no designed button for the camera and even the picture quality is not as nice. You can expand the memory as there is no microSD slot. Batteries are not removable which is bad since you have to keep charging once you ran out of battery.
Warranty
Limited Warranty for HTC First is the similar to other HTC phones. The warranty would be 1 year for the phone as well as its accessories that comes with the purchase. Make sure that you have kept the receipt so you can claim the limited warranty. If the product is damaged within the warranty period, HTC will either replace or repair the product. The warranty would not be honored if the reason of the damage was due to the user’s carelessness or due to the usual wear and tear of the product.
Conclusion
If you are a Facebook fanatic, then you should be rooting for this phone. Even if it has its own downside, it can be considered as it is a first with a preinstalled Facebook Home. In time HTC engineers can perfect its functionality
