HTC Butterfly S

The newest flagship for HTC is the HTC Butterfly S. Compared to HTC One; this new phone has enhanced specifications. One of its amazing features is its fast hardware. It is designed using Snapdragon 600 1.9GHz quad-core processor. So, if you want everything working speedily, then this is the phone for you.

Design

HTC Butterfly S is an enhanced phone of HTC Butterfly. The phone basically has the same design as the original Butterfly version except for its BoomSound speaker which is similar to HTC One. This is an amazing design that the engineers were able to come up as it gives direct sound to the user rather than placing it on the sides or at the back of the phone.

The 5” Full HD resolution gives a clear and crisp images and text to the user. It also provides angle views. The 3 Home buttons can be seen at the bottom of the screen to better give you more user-friendly experience especially when switching applications. The SIM and microSD slots are placed near each other which are really accessible and easy to remove.

Pros

With its quad core Krait processor, you are assured of a great performance with 2GB RAM. Although it might appear thicker and heavier, it is sturdy and strongly built to have more battery capacity. HTC Butterfly S offers bigger screen to those big screen lovers. It sports a 5” Full HD resolution making the images and text more vivid. The 8MP focus camera with flash plus the 2.1MP camera at the front makes your pictures more amazing and clear.

Cons

One of the downside when buying HTC Butterfly S, it does not have 4G. With the current retail price in the market, it would be better if it has 4G connectivity to it as it is one of the luxurious phones in the market today. The phone prides itself of more capacity on its battery but it can’t be replaced. You need to charge it every time once battery life is at its lowest. A back up battery is useless as it won’t work. It also does not have the most recent Android 4.2 Jelly Bean version. With all these disadvantages, the company should reconsider the cost of the phone as it is a little pricey.

Warranty

The limited warranty of the phone would include 1 year starting from the date it was purchased and 1 year for its accessories. A proof of purchase should be presented to claim the warranty and should only apply to where the phone was purchased. However, warranty will be voided if the serial number, the IMEI, water indicator or warranty sticker has been removed. Physical damage due to the user’s mishandling or the product’s wear and tear is also not under the limited warranty coverage.

Conclusion

If you are for the larger screen with fast processor this should be the phone for you. Although it has its own shortcomings, this phone as the newest flagship is a good value for your money.
