Pros
The Envy Series is considered to be HP’s high end line of laptop models that is packed with high-quality materials, construction and superior design. Compared to other high-end laptop models considered in the market, the Envy has continuously received positive reviews. The TrueVision HD web camera renders high definition images perfect for video chatting on Skype. In today’s technology, slim is in for the techie people. If you are into thin laptops, this may be the right model for you. It has a thickness of only 0.78 inch and weighs at 5.4 pounds including the AC adapter.
Cons
The HP Envy Sleekbook has an ultrabook-like feature at a mere 599-dollar price. It has an A-series processor that is really not power-efficient or fast enough compared to other Intel parts. It does not have a solid-state hard drive. The screen may also appear to be wobbly because of a long center hinge that has been anchored on the interior. Another con about this unit is that the metal finishes easily magnets fingerprints and other dirty smudges. Unfortunately, if you like saving documents, music or music on a DVD, this unit does not come with a DVD burner.
Conclusion
The HP Envy Sleekbook is an investment for people who love thin laptops. With the system featured by this Envy Series model, you may probably be surprised at how much value you got for your $599 investment. It still works as great as other laptops for the most common uses like internet surfing, sending and receiving emails, using social networking sites, streaming online videos, uploading photos and more. But to be frank, the HP Envy Sleekbook is nothing really great about this HP unit. It has a slower processor but it works just fine for the usual purposes.
