Pros
The sleek design is surely a reason to be envious of the ultrabook. It keeps the attractive look of the other Envy series. The springy style of the keys provides good tactile feedback on the finger making typing easier. The touchpad is also responsive and accurate and it is able to recognize multi-touch gestures. The sound run by the Beats Audio provides good quality. The battery is able to manage a ten hours of work but for lighter tasks, it can last for one day. The integrated graphics support modern games to give you maximum enjoyment. It gives a fairly fast performance considering its price. Overall, this is an improvement from the other ultrabooks released by HP.
Cons
The keyboard is not backlit making it very difficult to type in dark environment. The resolution display is standard for its price with nothing to be happy about. Small icons appear fuzzy and disappointing. The viewing angles are also shallow.
Conclusion
HP Envy 6 Ultrabook is a great all-purpose laptop. It is an improvement of the previous Envy series showing good battery life and good performance. The sleek black and red design is also very stylish and attractive. The unit is powerful enough to handle your basic office tasks, web browsing and video playback. Although the screen and the keyboard are not nice features, this unit is still a serious contender for the best mid-priced ultrabook. It is definitely enticing for the budget conscious individual who wants to enjoy a laptop at a bargain price.
