They must also ask for permission if they intend to share the information with other sites. You will find the data use notice as an “opt-in” box in the page you visit. For some web sites, they provide privacy settings that ensure subscribers that their information will be kept secured.


Copyright Law
Copyright law provides security for ownership of materials. They cover all posts, information and other materials posted in the net. Experts recommend that each blog or site owner place appropriate copyright and trademark notices.
 The technique should prevent visitors from stealing information. For some sites, they maintain their ownership by disabling the right click command. Domain names must also be registered to help fight cyber squatters.

 

E-commerce Law
The e-commerce law or also known as electronic commercial regulation protects business transactions in the internet. It covers individuals and companies selling goods or services online including all marketing strategies to market their product or service. 
The advertising technique must be clearly identified as such and the sender’s identity must be provided to its target recipients without the need to open the rest of the message. This way, email address owners can determine whether the message they receive is a spam.



The e-commerce law also states that electronic contracts are legally binding and must therefore be enforceable. The contracts should contain the terms and conditions of the agreement.

• Avoid giving personal information such as your address and phone number to someone you do not know.
• Avoid opening emails from unknown sources unless you do online marketing.
