What is the great thing about the Google keyboard for Android? You can simply download this in Play store with no cost at all. It is easy to type because of its swipe-style gesture input. Not only that, you can have a floating review while you are typing.
Cons
One of the downsides is, it is not integrated with social websites like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. There are only few features that users can enjoy. You do not have enough choices when you want to personalized your keyboard.
How To Use It?
For Samsung users, it would be easy using it because it is already installed on your phone. For other Android phones, you will have to download it from Google Play and configure. It will not be difficult to configure because Google Keyboard application will walk you through the process.
When you set up the Google Keyboard, you will have to choose the language out of 56 languages available. If you want to customize your keyboard, you can check out the Settings where all options can be found. Just don’t be disappointed when you will not be able to change the skin as it is not available yet.
Google keyboard has custom dictionary that allows word prediction when you type to make texting or typing easier. You can also add new words to the dictionary so you can use whenever necessary.
Difference between Google Keyboard and Android Keyboard

Android keyboard has huge white letters that have generous space between keys while Google Keyboard has SwiftKey which has longer more distinct keys which looks better than other keyboards.

When typing, Google Keyboard will show 3 suggested words so typing would be quick and easy while normal keyboards do not have that feature.

Google Keyboards gives you larger probable words and can be easily used by tapping and holding the ellipses symbol while the Android Keyboard does not offer larger possible words.

Gesture typing feature of Google Keyboard is more responsive and felt tight compare to the other keyboards you may use. You can even drag your fingers to the letters while you are typing.

Google’s best improvement is the Floating Review wherein you can see a grey window hovering near your thumb so you can use the words suggested. This is way better than Swype and Swiftkey that Android keyboard has.

Google keyboard does not recognize handwriting but it has voice typing which would make it really quick and fast while Android keyboard has both voice typing and recognizes handwriting.
