Google Chrome version 27 has been currently launched to improve some features and some issues that need some fixing.

 

Update

• Panel Windows

With the new version, panel windows are docked in the launcher so it would be easy to access it anytime.

 

• Launcher

The launcher can be placed either at the top, left or right of your PC’s screen. You just simply right click on the launched and you will find the launcher position which you can change.

Another update on the launcher is the list of application items that are opened. You will see the number of times a certain application has been opened in the launcher while the Chrome icon will give you the list of all open tabs, the same way as Windows 7 jump list.

 

• File Manager

The File Manager is more organized due to the hierarchy display of the files. It would be very easy for you to look or search for the right folder.

 

• Optimization

For those users of the Chromebook models, this is very beneficial for them because they can use it even when they have low memory.

 

• Supports Wireless Touchpad and Mouse

With the latest Chrome version, Apple Magic Trackpad and Magic mouse are now being supported by Chrome. Not only that, it will display the battery life of the wireless mouse so you can prepare a new battery or charge it when it is out of battery life.

 

• Increased Speed

Google Chrome 7 is very fast in loading any website. You can open as many tabs as you want without having to worry of any downtime.

 

• Date Input Type for HTML 5

It supports HTML5 which also includes the date, the month, week and time. Those familiar with HTML 5 can now classify auto-suggest list so anyone using it can easily choose the date and time.

 

• Sync FileSystem API

This is mainly used for those developing Chrome OS. It is a new offline storage which automatically sync stored data and send it to your clients with the use of Google Drive.

 

• Improved Omnibox

It now has better and improved Omnibox with predictions and corrects the spelling.

 

• No more Webkit

This will be the last version of Chrome that will use the Webkit engine. Chrome 28 will be using Blink once it will launch. Other repeated code has been removed to make this version really efficient.

 

• No More Bugs

TO make it very useful, around 27 issues and 14 security problems have been fixed. Chrome 7 was able to pay $14,633 to the bug hunters who did great in removing those bugs.

 

Pros

• The leader when it comes to supporting HTML 5.

• Because of its hardware acceleration, browsing is very fast.

• Protection from malware and phishing has been intensified.

• It automatically syncs the data even when you are using different devices.

• It has a built-in flash player and PDF reader which auto-update when there are new upgrades available.

• It checks your spelling and gives you predictions when you type in words so you can finish typing quickly.

 

Cons

• Using Do Not Track feature is not advised.

• There are a few slight issues that still need to be fixed.

• Fonts sometimes look jagged.
