You may want to be meticuluous when disabling them to be sure that none is left that could give up your location. Note that scammers have known how to do this perfectly therefore it will be easy for one to track you down to your location.

3. You also need to review every tag that you get on Facebook first before you are actually tagged in it so that you can check out if it has a location check in. This way, you will know if to allow it or not. In order to get this, you have to enable the tag review feature in Facebook and this will allow you to review anything that you will be tagged in; whether it is a location status, a status update, a photo or anything else.

 

Facebook scammers are not stupid these days and they will use any chance that they get in order to find their next victim. Therefore you shouldn’t take any chances especially where your safety is at stake. Often many things that we unknowingly do are the ones that lead us to the traps set by these scammers. Another thing that you can do is to un-friend those people that you do not know for sure in the site because you may not know their intentions in Facebook. Sometimes we let people in our list of friends without first being sure about them and their genuineness.
