Dell XPS 11
Dell XPS 11 is a 2-in-1 laptop that gives you the functionality and convenience of owning a laptop and a tablet at the same time. It has a convertible design that quickly enables the user to take on whatever mode they want to make use of depending on the needs they have at any one particular time.
The ultra slim design of the Dell XPS 11 makes it a lightweight laptop hence one that you can easily go for especially if you are keen on portability facets of your choice of laptop. This multi-touch tablet offers a HD folded back screen display which is especially cool when playing games or watching movies.
On top of it all, not only can this laptop guarantee a solid performance but it has a strong battery life as well to make sure that users can use it for a considerably long period of time without having to stay close to a power plug.
Design
Dell XPS 11 is a convertible model with both the laptop and tablet mode. It has a black chassis with a unique carbon fiber checkerboard finish. Since it has drifted away from using brushed metal in designing the body like traditional Dell models, there are no finger print smudges experienced. The lid has rounded edges.
Generally, Dell XPS 11 has a folded back screen design with a maximum screen display of 11.6 inches. The screen can turn through a 360 degree rotation increasing the flexibility of this machine and making it possible for one to almost instantly shift to the particular mode they deem fit.
This laptop has a full sized keyboard with well spaced backlit keys and touchpad. Your palms will most certainly like the feel of the soft-touch deck of this tablet. There is however only one problem, the laptop has a flat keyboard. The flat keyboard has been the reason why the Dell XPS 11 is one of the thinnest laptops in Dell’s entire XPS series but on the downside, it makes typing a lot difficult and uncomfortable.
This laptop is not at the top of the list of the lightest tablets but weighing about 2.5 pounds with a size of 0.4 × 11.8 × 7.9 inches (HWD), it doesn’t pose any portability challenges either. Some of the ports that can be found on this model include USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and there is a slot for a smartcard reader.
