Canon PowerShot G15 is the descendant of PowerShot G12. It has a number of upgrades from its previous model. Unfortunately, GPS and the Wi-Fi connectivity are not among them. The upgrades are the 12 megapixel CMOS sensor, speedy lens and sharper and clearer backside display.
Design
Canon PowerShot G15 is one of the few point and shoot camera which has an optical view finder. This camera is larger and bulkier than the its sister S110 but it does not have a viewfinder and hot shoe.
The size of the LCD is 3 inches but does not have the articulating arm of the other models G12 and G1 X. so the LCD is fixed and you can’t rotate it. Although it has a fixed LDC, it gives you sharper and great resolution images. You could say there are a lot of controls that you have to manage and learn. A Mode dial is situated at the top so you can adjust the EV Compensation, the on and Off button and the shutter release.

Pros
Canon PowerShot G15 has a fast and sharp lens which gives you high quality images. The high ISO speed gives the camera a better performance that can rival other point and shoot cameras. The layout is designed so shooters especially beginners can maneuver then pretty well.
Cons
For a point and shoot camera, this is expensive. It also does not offer Wi-Fi connectivity or GPS compared to other Canon point and shoot cameras which are cheaper. The 1080p video is limited to only 24fps so don’t rely on this camera to take videos with high quality.
Warranty
Like other Canon camera, it has 1 year warranty for both parts and labor. Just present the proof of purchase with the exact date the product was purchased and the serial number to claim your warranty.
Canon has enumerated 3 ways for them to void the warranty: changing of the date and the serial number on the proof of purchase, damaged of the unit was caused to natural calamities, accident, mishandling or not following the user manual and using other accessories that are not from Canon.
Conclusion
Canon PowerShot G15 is the most balanced among its G-series, it has the combination of speedy lens, high resolution screen, smaller size and it is very portable.
It provides the best upgrade from its previous model and can very compete from its rivals. It may not have the highest ISO speed others in the market but they could not compete on the size and the convenience Canon PowerShot G15 offers.
