Research In Motion is now a history for BlackBerry. They have joined the bandwagon and update their system with the new Blackberry Z10. This is a new chapter of the company that every consumer wants to check and try.

 

Design

BlackBerry Z10 is a fully designed touch screen device which sports up-to-date specifications. It is made of soft materials on its back with a very nice pattern. The LCD screen is measured 4.2” with 1280x768 pixels for its resolution. The phone is tall and thinly shaped like an iPhone 5. Its edges are straight and the corners are rounded making it easier to use with one hand.

Pros

The BlackBerry OS 10 Juah is different from other BlackBerry versions. It is more user-friendly and performance is more secure.  The BlackBerry Hub is more updated and has a wider range of communication. It is able to connect to the user’s email, BBM, SMS and other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

 

The size of the phone is just perfect compared to the other touch screens available that are too large to handle. The colors are amazing even if it is not full HD. Texting is a great experience as it has heat sensors that detects unwanted keys and more adaptive to your movements.

 

Cons

It is a little bit complex to maneuver especially if the user is coming from iOs or Windows. There is no back or home buttons and everything just moves with the screen. The creation of Z10 is very safe and does not have any exclusive, lustrous and playful designs compared to its competitors like HTC One, Xperia among others.

 

The applications on this phone is limited so you will have to do be contented and live without those famous applications that you are used to with other models. You will have to wait until it comes available to this phone.

 

Warranty

The warranty period for the phone as well as the accessories that include the hardware and software components is 1 year. During the warranty period RIM will repair and replace the defective parts. If in case RIM is not able to repair or replace, they will refund you the net price you paid when you bought the device.

 

The warranty does not apply to the batteries and the protective coating as it will diminish over time unless it was a defect when bought. Improper use of the device as well as unauthorized repair of the phone can void the warranty.

 

Conclusion

The Blackberry Z10 is a good comeback for BlackBerry as it targets both business and consumer world. Even though they are not a very good choice for business use because of its battery life, it is good for personal use like its camera. The phone has its own shortcomings; it can very well compete with other new phones in the market.
